I’m a registered osteopath, and I’m here to help you feel more at home in your body. Whether you’re dealing with a lingering ache, a sudden twinge, or just something that feels a bit “off,” I’m passionate about supporting people through all stages of their healing journey — from niggles to long-term pain.
I believe the way we relate to our bodies is key to living a full, enjoyable life. My goal is to help you understand what’s going on beneath the surface and work with you to move better, feel better, and get back to doing what you love.
I started out as a remedial massage therapist, and I loved the hands-on work and the immediate relief it brought people. But I often found myself wanting to dig deeper — to really understand why people were in pain and what I could do to help more.
Then I had a bit of a mishap — I injured my lower back lifting something I definitely shouldn’t have. I went to see an osteopath now many moons ago, and I was blown away by how much she knew and how well she explained what was going on in my body. That experience lit a spark in me, and I signed up to study osteopathy that same year.
Five years of study later and another 5 years on, here I am — blending science, movement, and hands-on therapy to help people just like you find their flow again.
My clients are a wonderfully mixed bunch — from desk-bound office warriors to weekend rock climbers, dancers, tradies, tired parents, and everyone in between. If you’re feeling stuck, stiff, sore, or just not quite yourself physically, I’d love to help.
Some of the common issues I support people with include:
Lower back pain
Neck pain and stiffness
Chronic pain or flare-ups
Headaches and jaw tension
Sports or movement-related injuries
Unexplained body discomfort or tension
Osteopathy is all about helping the body heal itself — and I’m here to guide and support that process. My treatments are tailored to you, and I’ll often combine hands-on techniques with movement advice and education so you walk away not only feeling better, but knowing more about your body, too.
Depending on what you need, I may use:
Gentle or deep tissue massage
Trigger point therapy
Joint articulation or manipulation
Muscle Energy Technique
Strain-counterstrain
Biodynamic osteopathy
Balanced ligamentous tension
I’ll also help you with simple, practical ways to move better and prevent issues from creeping back in.
When I’m not treating clients, you’ll probably find me dancing (Irish set and contra are my favourites), riding my bike, sipping strong coffee, or trying to master German or Irish. I’m also a big fan of mending things (especially darning socks — it’s oddly satisfying).
Lately, I’ve been deepening my interest in mindfulness and meditation, particularly insight meditation and the MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) work of Jon Kabat-Zinn. It’s been a game-changer for how I approach both life and healthcare.
