Dance Injury

An Osteopath experienced with dance.

How much easier would it be to
explain your injury to an Osteopath/Dancer?

Dance injury can be one of the most frustrating events when you have a love of dance.  So what can be done for you?

Hi there.  My name is Steph (Dr Stephanie Klupacs)

I am a ballerina AND an Osteopath!

I know what your body goes through, how it feels and why it hurts when it does.

Focus of Treatment

My treatments focuses on resolving your injury, and ensuring that the root of the problem is addressed – not just the symptoms. I look for and help you overcome restrictions, or strength and anatomical weaknesses that may hinder a dancers’ progress and performance skills.

My Experience.

There’s a major advantage when it comes to treating dance injuries simply because of my experience.

Having a considerable ballet background studying the Cecchetti syllabus through to Advanced II and in teaching ballet and jazz, I understand the demands of dancing and pointe work from the perspective of a dancer and as a health professional.

Pre-Pointe Assessments

Having also developed a program with several Australian Ballet medical staff and Osteopaths, targeted at students progressing to pointe work , my experience here is an asset.

Pre pointe assessments are becoming essential in the ballet world as students, parents and teachers want to ensure that a dancer’s career is not cut short by injuries that could have been prevented.
